Laxmi Vijaysankar is a Partner at Serling Rooks Hunter McKoy Worob & Averill LLP. Her practice is centered in the music and entertainment industry where she is an expert figure in the brand partnerships landscape, negotiating sponsorships, endorsements, brand-integration and strategic partnerships that serve to expand her clients’ iconic status and global reach.

Laxmi advises a diverse client roster that includes GRAMMY Award-winning recording artists, songwriters and producers, record labels, distributors, music publishers, senior music and entertainment industry executives and more. In the area of brand partnerships, her representation extends to fitness talent and other celebrity influencers, prominent agencies and global brands including Fortune 500 companies.

Prior to joining SRH in 2011, Ms. Vijaysankar was an associate in the corporate practices of Baker Botts LLP and Andrew Kurth LLP where she worked on mergers and acquisition transactions and counseled clients on securities law issues and corporate matters. Her corporate background uniquely positions her to navigate the complex business dynamics of the entertainment world, which she harnesses to advise on music catalog sales, joint ventures and entrepreneurial ventures for her clients, leveraging her multi-jurisdictional qualifications.

Ms. Vijaysankar received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Mumbai in 2001 and continued her legal studies at the Georgetown University Law Center earning her Master of Laws in International Legal Studies in 2005. She is admitted to practice in New York and in India.
